YX5300 MP3 playback module
The Catalex MP3 Board is a great little MP3 playback board based around the YX5300 chip. It can be controlled via serial interface using a simple set of commands.
The front of the board looks like this:
As you can see, the connections on J2 are nice and simple.
| Pin | Note |
|---|---|
| RX | Connect this to TX on your serial port. Both 3V3 & 5V compatible |
| TX | Connect this to RX on your serial port. 3V3 |
| VCC | 5V power in. Boards are unreliable if powered by 3V3 |
| GND | GND |
